What Makes a Successful Interprofessional Team? Views from Health Service Providers in Northwestern Ontario
This study was conducted to determine what interprofessional (IP) models are being used across the North West LHIN. This scan provides evidence related to the potential benefits of IP education (IPE) and IP care (IPC). More importantly, this scan identifies the themes and determinants associated with successful collaborative patient centred practice. Ten focus groups and four key informant interviews were held between January 1 and March 1, 2009. Individuals from both the health care and health education sectors were asked to participate in focus groups or as key informants. SSHRC Grantees Honoured at Media Event
Researchers in the Social Sciences and Humanities were honoured today in a media event and reception to celebrate the largest grant amount received in one year from the Social Sciences and Humanities Reserach Council of Canada (SSHRC), at almost $2.5 million. Research in the social sciences and humanities advances knowledge about individuals, groups, and societies—it helps to tell us how we live, what we think, and how we interact with each other and the world around us.
