Compassionate Communities Town Hall Meeting

May 25, 2022 6:00 – 9:30 pm

Please consider attending the Thunder Bay Compassionate Community Virtual Town Hall Meeting! The goal of this meeting is to increase awareness and education about the international compassionate community movement that is taking off around the world and acquire community buy-in to help make Thunder Bay a compassionate community. The movement promotes community social support in death, dying, grief, and caregiving!
Guest speakers from Compassionate Ottawa including Co-Founder Dr. Jim Nininger, and volunteer, Dr. Mary Lou Kelley, will be discussing compassionate communities and reflecting on their experiences with the movement in Ottawa to equip our community for success!

This past winter, Hospice Northwest in conjunction with CERAH and St. Joseph’s Care Group North West Regional Palliative Care Program hosted virtual lunchtime learn information sessions to introduce Thunder Bay to the compassionate community movement. The Town Hall meeting is the next step to promote discussions about the movement in our community! For more information please contact hanna@hospicenorthwest.ca or call 626-5570 ext. 5579.
