The Centre for Education and Research on Aging & Health (CERAH), Lakehead University, is pleased to be your host for this exciting event! The program focused on 'Palliative Care for All: Striving for Equity’ features plenary and concurrent sessions that explore how an equity-informed approach can help to improve access and quality of palliative care for those living in Northwestern Ontario.

Keynote speaker Dr. Kelli Stajduhar, RN, PhD, Professor, School of Nursing and Institute on Aging and Lifelong Health, University of Victoria, BC, will present death as a social justice issue, drawing on her research with people experiencing structural vulnerabilities. In a follow-up workshop, Dr. Stajduhar will share promising practices for improving access to palliative care for this population. Further details on all presentations and presenters are available here.

We are excited to also be hosting a Personal Support Worker (PSW) Appreciation Dinner as part of the conference this year. This evening event is to acknowledge and thank PSWs for the vital role they play in providing care for some of the most vulnerable members of our communities. In addition, the conference will feature a traditional opening and closing ceremony, various organization displays and poster presentations.
