Rooted in the healing power of nature, our outdoor day program is specially designed to support people living with dementia through hands-on gardening, sensory-rich experiences, and meaningful social engagement. Set within the natural beauty of native plant gardens, participants enjoy purposeful activities that foster joy, connection, and a sense of belonging—all while contributing to environmental stewardship.
🕰️ Program Schedule:
Drop-Off: 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Morning Program: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Lunch: 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Clean-Up: 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM
Afternoon Program: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Snack & Pick-Up: 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Explore and care for native plant gardens
Engage in sensory and nature-based activities
Learn about pollinators, local ecosystems, and seasonal change
Build meaningful relationships in a safe, structured environment
Support physical activity and cognitive stimulation outdoors
Provide essential respite for care partners
🌼 Who Can Join?
Participants must:
Have a diagnosis of dementia
Live in the community (not in long-term care)
Be mobile (able to walk without major aids, though a cane is acceptable)
Be able to use the bathroom independently
Tolerate being outdoors for extended periods
Be free of choking, fall, or wandering risks
Manage their own medication during program hours
Join us in cultivating growth, joy, and connection—one native plant at a time.
