St. Joseph’s Care Group – Manor House Adult Day Program
The Manor House Adult Day Program offers a social and recreational day program for older adults who have Alzheimer Disease or a related dementia. This program provides therapeutic activities which are designed to maintain an optimal level of independent functioning in the community as long as possible. It also provides respite service to caregivers. In addition, the following services are available to registered clients:
- Support and counselling
- Caregiver support meetings
- In-home assessments
- Equipment loan cupboard
- Assistance to access other support
- Strategies for home managements
- Minor health monitoring

Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre – Aboriginal Life Long Care Program
This program provides a wide range of community-based and culturally appropriate services to Indigenous peoples residing in or migrating to the city. The Life Long Care program offers Aboriginal support services, adult day programs, congregate dining, friendly visits, security checks and transportation for medical appointments. Eligibility requirements: must be of Indigenous descent; 55 years of age or older; must be frail, vulnerable or at risk; must have one or more chronic illness; must have limited access to culturally appropriate services. Need a referral from Home and Community Care Support Services 310-2222 (no area code required).
VON – Northwestern Ontario Adult Day Program
The VON Adult Day Centre operates 4 days a week. This program provides a therapeutic program, day respite and socialization. Transportation is also provided if required.
