Ringing in the New Year with Dementia Café – 2024

The Dementia Café was abuzz with excitement and joy as they hosted their 2nd annual New Year’s Eve party at the Urban Abbey.

The evening was filled with an array of activities, including a potluck dinner, live music, dancing and engaging conversation among friends. The Dementia Café, known for its safe and welcoming space, once again proved that living with dementia does not mean you have to be socially excluded.

Dementia Café is a unique program designed by and for individuals living with dementia, their families and their friends. They meet 3 Sundays per month at the Urban Abbey from 2 – 4 pm and often feature live music, art, and games. There is no fee or eligibility criteria for attending, and they also provide complimentary refreshments and pastries.
