We are thrilled to share some exciting news—Dementia Gardens: A Place to Grow will be relocating to the Centennial Conservatory (1601 Dease St, Thunder Bay, ON P7C 5H3) starting December 2024!

This innovative project, a collaboration between CERAH at Lakehead University, the City of Thunder Bay, and the North West Dementia Working Group (NWDWG), is dedicated to creating an inclusive, outdoor space focused on native plant gardening for people living with dementia and their care partners. The vision includes developing an outdoor day program or green care farm, where meaningful engagement, community connection, and environmental stewardship come together.

We are currently fundraising to bring this vision to life. Your support will help us:

  • Prepare the site

  • Build accessible pathways and fencing

  • Design and install inclusive garden furniture

Every contribution makes a difference. Thank you for helping us grow a place of care, connection, and belonging.

Tributes & Thanks:
