Managing Pediatric Palliative Care in Northern Ontario with Vicky Wilton

Speaker Bio:

Vicky Wilton, RN, BPHE has been a registered nurse for 29 years. She has worked in community, as a homecare nurse for VON, for the CNIB and in the hospital setting in adult oncology, palliative care as well as general pediatrics and NICU. She also has degree in Physical and Health Education.

Her current role is a Pediatric Oncology Group Of Ontario Interlink Nurse, she works out of Health Sciences in Sudbury at the POGO Satellite Clinic. She provides navigation and support for families, that have a child diagnosed with cancer, in Northern Ontario. She has a special interest in Pediatric Palliative Care and is interested in sharing knowledge, experience and building Pediatric Palliative Care capacity for health care providers, in Northern Ontario.

She is a board member at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury and an active member of The Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer.

When she is not working, she spends time in the outdoors sailing, paddling and cross country skiing.
