Addressing Grief in Healthcare: A Workshop for Providers

Healthcare providers often navigate grief in ways that are rarely acknowledged. Whether mourning the loss of a patient, a colleague, or experiencing the emotional toll of caregiving, the impact of grief in healthcare is profound.
To support those working in the field, CERAH recently hosted a half-day workshop titled, Supporting the Grief Journey of Healthcare Providers: It’s in the Work, bringing together professionals to explore the complexities of grief and self-care in their roles.
The workshop featured a keynote presentations by Eugene Dufour, psychosocial spiritual clinician specializing in grief. Additionally, attendees participated in concurrent self-care sessions led by Kim Ramsbottom (Mushkiki Box Painting) and Erin May (Vagal Yoga/Breathing). These sessions focused on creative outlets for processing grief and practical tools for managing stress, and maintaining emotional balance in demanding work environments.
Thank you to our speakers and everyone who joined us for the workshop. Check out our events calendar for more educational opportunities.
