This 15-hour course is introductory-level, providing an overview of key palliative care concepts, tools and resources.

8:30 am – 4:30 pm (both days)

Who?

The intended audience are front-line care providers working in Indigenous communities, with registration priority being given to Home & Community Care staff who have not previously attended.

  • Pain & Other Symptoms
  • Last Days & Hours
  • Grief & Loss
  • Helping Relationships & Self-Care
  • Community Care Teams

Workshops will be facilitated by a team of registered nurses, social workers, and a local Elder or Knowledge Carrier.

All learning resources will be provided in hardcopy with additional resources shared by email.

Registration is required for everyone and will be confirmed by email once the registration deadline (June 14, 2024) has passed.
